The 9d was issued first on 1 Aug 1883 followed by the rest on 1 April 1884
The unified issue combined both low values (½d - 2d) and
higher values (2½d - 1s) into one unified issue.
These replaced the
provisional
issue of 1880 and the surcharged issue of 1883 and
were used until the
Jubilee issue
of 1887.
The 1881 penny
lilac was also used at this time.
These have the words POSTAGE & REVENUE instead of
POSTAGE (except the ½d)
Note: design of the 1½d & 5d, 2d & 6d, 2½d & 9d, 3d &
1s are the same and differ in colour
(lilac or green)
Apart from the ½d they all have corner letters. The ½d design is the
same as the ½d
provisional
issue.
