The First (Later Rejected) Die for the One Penny Stamp with “POSTAGE ONE PENNY” at foot, a reprinted die proof in yellow green on unwatermarked cream wove paper (66 x 70mm),

The die in its final form remained with Perkins, Bacon & Co. and reprints were made from time to time (1840-1935).
